Our wonderful choir will sing "Emmanuel is Coming by composer" D. Besig. The original Latin hymn, "Veni, Veni Immanuel", was sung at the monasteries in the about 9th century. They used it as a magnificat antiphon at the Vespers for the 7 days before Christmas. In 1851, John Mason Neal published the first English translation, beginning with" Draw Nigh, Draw Nigh, Immaneul."
Not only will our choir present this meaningful hymn, but the entire congregation also will sing it several places during the Service!
