The Lost Chord (a poem) was written by a famous British woman poet, Adelaide Procter. The music was composed by Arthur Sullivan in 1877, a British composer from the Victorian era. During his brother final illness, he was inspired to set a musical piece based on Procter's poem. Although the music was not written for sale, the song became very popular in both British and America from 1870s to 1880s. Offertory: Summer Choir will present two very inspiring hymns as a Medley, "It is Well" and "Day by Day", arranged by Amy Potter. It is very simple but contains powerful spirituality. Let us continue to join our voices in our summer choir! The short rehearsal will start at 9:20 am in the sanctuary this Sunday!
