VOLUNTEER RESEARCHERS NEEDED ON THE LIVES OF VETERANS FROM OUR CHURCH

Updated: Nov 21, 2018

Pastor Katherine is preparing a special Veteran’s Day Service that will benefit from having four or five biographies or memoirs of members of the FUMC, from any point in the Church’s history, who have served in the U.S. Military. Additionally, Karen Doty is submitting a grant that would potentially help us to restore our Memorial Tower for the purpose it was intended, which is to honor those who served our country in World War I. In the Great Hall there is a plaque containing the names of 106 men who served during that time, including the 5 who lost their lives. Would anyone want to help research some of those church members as well? Please contact Pastor Katherine or Karen Doty for more information.
